The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, first published in 1989, is a business and self-help book written by Stephen R. Covey. It has sold more than 25 million copies in 38 languages worldwide, and the audio version has sold 15 million copies, and remains one of the best selling nonfiction business books, according to information provided by Wikipedia.This book is  talking about 7 habit for effective people, these habits are:1.- Be proactive, 2.- Begin the end in mind, 3.- Put first things first, 4.- Think Win-Win, 5.-Seek first to undestand then to be undestood, 6.- Synergize and 7.-Sharpen the saw.I would like to choose three of these habit that i think will help in alignment with me own personality:

The first one is be proactive because life doesn’t just “happen.” Whether you know it or not, it is carefully designed by you. The choices, after all, are yours. You choose happiness. You choose sadness. You choose decisiveness. You choose ambivalence. You choose success. You choose failure. You choose courage. You choose fear. Just remember that every moment, every situation, provides a new choice. And in doing so, it gives you a perfect opportunity to do things differently to produce more positive results. Be Proactive is about taking responsibility for your life. You can’t keep blaming everything on your parents or grandparents. Proactive people recognize that they are “response-able.” They don’t blame genetics, circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behavior. They know they choose their behavior.Proactive people focus their efforts on their Circle of Influence. They work on the things they can do something about: health, children, problems at work. Reactive people focus their efforts in the Circle of Concern–things over which they have little or no control: the national debt, terrorism, the weather. Gaining an awareness of the areas in which we expend our energies in is a giant step in becoming proactive.

The second one is bigining with the end in my mind, because always i have to think what do i want for my future? We have to be hones, sometimes people find themselves achieving victories that are empty–successes that have come at the expense of things that were far more valuable to them. If your ladder is not leaning against the right wall, every step you take gets you to the wrong place faster. Habit 2 is based on imagination–the ability to envision in your mind what you cannot at present see with your eyes. It is based on the principle that all things are created twice. There is a mental (first) creation, and a physical (second) creation. One of the best ways to incorporate Habit 2 into your life is to develop a Personal Mission Statement. It focuses on what you want to be and do. It is your plan for success. It reaffirms who you are, puts your goals in focus, and moves your ideas into the real world. Your mission statement makes you the leader of your own life. You create your own destiny and secure the future you envision.

The last one habit is thinking win – win because it is about good attitude of mind. It concerns fostering an attitude that is committed to always finding solutions that will truly benefit both sides of a dispute. Solutions do not, of course, exist in themselves; they must be created. And, even if we cannot see the solution to a particular problem, it does not mean that no such solution exists. The win-win idea is not based upon compromise – that is where most disputes naturally end. But compromise is the result of not properly perceiving the possible synergy of the situation.

Good work habits help ensure a productive and successful environment in the workplace. These habits can be applied at workplace like punctuality, organization and self-motivation are examples of important work habits that people should have. In today’s world when jobs are scarce and the competition is strong, it is necessary to acquire these habits in order to fully maximize employment opportunities and possibilities for growth.

Most of students in the college having bag habits like poor attendance, no assaigment, poor time manager and negative thinking, these are bag habits going down our education, therefore students will change their acttitudes and mind because education is building a better future in our live, we must undestand that good habits create a successful future.

The “social networking” is using social media tools by couple of ways. They provide the connection between businesses and business professionals.  The professionals use social networking tools for self-promotion/self-marketing couple of ways. For promotion, they can make a survey to consumers so that they can promote their services or products. They can also discuss with other people online so that can get some new ideas or better ideas than they made. For self-marketing way, they can post some information or activities of their companies and make their own brands like self-branding.  There are still other ways that social media is being used by Businesses. For example, they can make advertisement on the tools and recruit new workers for them. The job recruiters also use social media tools to find potential job candidates because they can get many candidates information by using those tools and even can look through their reports. It is a way to justify a candidate whether fit this job or not, as a result, the recruiters can make better and low risk decision.

Social media marketing is a recent addition to organizations’ integrated marketing communications plans. Integrated marketing communications is a principle organizations follow to connect with their targeted markets. Integrated marketing communications coordinates the elements of the promotional mix;advertising, personal selling, public relations, publicity, direct marketing, and sales promotion.[1].  Social media has become a platform that is easily accessible to anyone with internet access, opening doors for organizations to increase their brand awareness and facilitate conversations with the customer. Additionally, social media serves as a relatively inexpensive platform for organizations to implement marketing campaigns. Organizations can receive direct feedback from their customers and targeted markets.

If you use Google Chrome and Pinterest, then you may find this tool very useful. It’s a Chrome extension that allows you to Google search using any picture on Pinterest. This way you can get all the information there is on a picture as well as similar pictures. A great discovery tool for Pinterest!

2. Snapito

Snapito is a tool from the Pinstamatic family that has a very simple, yet useful feature. It allows you to pin your website easily, by entering its address on their website and with the click of a button you get a screenshot of the website that you can then quickly post to your Pinterest board. Another very similar tool is a Google Chrome extension called ShotPin, which pretty much does the same thing!

3. Shopinterest

Want to sell your products via Pinterest? This tool, in its beta version at the moment, can help you set up a Pinterest store in a matter of minutes, for free! Pinterest has lots of female users, and some types of products are extremely successful. It’s a great medium for selling clothes, jewelry, household items and even furniture! It’s also the perfect place for art, and if you are a photographer, or sculptor for example, you can easily market your art on Pinterest and, why not, even sell it!

4. Wishpond

Wishpond, among other features for Facebook, Twitter and others, has a Pinterest Tab. This tab allows you to showcase all of your boards and pins from your Pinterest account on your Facebook Page and your website. It works well on mobile websites as well, and it’s extremely easy to install. Apart from typing in your login information, there’s nothing else you have to do – the tool will do it for you. Great for cross-promotions and for driving more engagement to your Pinterest boards and pins from your Facebook friends.

Piqora (formerly known as Pinfluencer) is a great tool for anyone who is serious about using Pinterest for marketing reasons. Another great feature is Pinner360, that helps you identify your most influential pinners, your brand advocates as well as who engages the most with you. A very useful tool and a must for those using Pinterest for their business.
